Welcome to the website of the oldest corporation in Georgia . Murray Printing Company was established by Samuel Werns Murray in 1845 and purchased by his son Horace Herndon Murray, in 1902, upon his return from service with the United States Army in the Spanish-American War, with the $200.00 he received at the end of the war.
Although Murray began as a small operation in the rear of the bookstore, through the innovation, savvy, and perseverance of Mr. Herndon Murray and successive owners and the dedication, talent and loyalty of generations of employees and Murray Printing Company, it grew and has remained a leader in providing quality printing and related services.
Four families have owned and guided Murray Printing Company since its establishment over 160 years ago, the Murray family, the Arnall family, the Smith Family and the Madean family. The business is currently owned and operated by Rob Brass of Newnan who purchased Murray Printing in January of 2008 from Charles and Lynn Smith. Rob’s goal is to combine Murray ’s tradition of excellence with the cutting edge technology of his existing Minuteman Press franchise.
